The tiler came today. We now have tile in our front entry (second photo - think slate but not slate) and side door entry. They also started our downstairs bathroom (first photo). You might not see it in the photo but the bathroom tile reminds me of Georgian Bay red rocks from a camping trip in high school in Temagami Provincial Park.
Today was a lesson in keeping with your promise to not get between your general contractor and the subcontractors. According to one of the subcontractors today, Rob and I had gone back to the tile supplier and changed our design recently. We were close to having the floor tile run up the wall. Instead of getting in the middle of it we stuck with the plan - try to only talk to Amsted about what we want. This way they maintain responsibility and there aren't any subcontractors saying "the client told me......" All is good.
