Here is the information on the bathroom exhaust fans that we purchased: http://www.panasonic.com/business/building-products/ventilation-systems/index.asp
From the reading that we did in preparation for this project, we had learned about the importance of proper exhaust venting to the outside. They obviously affect air flow and moisture levels in the house. We made a lot of effort to ensure that the dryer vent, the two bathroom vents and the kitchen vent had quality fans and were properly connected to the outside. This may sound simple but trying to figure out where the exhaust ducts will be situated is not always so easy. Either they need space in the house to be located or there is an issue where they poke out on the side of the house. Also, even though we are not finishing the upstairs bathroom in this round of renovations we wanted to make sure that the bathroom fan was properly installed now.

I subscribe to the CHMC Housing Research e-newsletter at work. Lately it seems to always have something good to read about home renovation/construction projects. The subjects range from finding a good contractor to ventilation in your home. Here is a link to a recent article related to my fan comment: http://www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/en/co/maho/yohoyohe/inaiqu/inaiqu_009.cfm
