Exterior Prep

While we don't have an actual siding date, you can tell they are preping for exterior work. The first photo shows a window with the siding trim installed. The product is KPW and the colour is 'wicker' to go with our 'granite' siding by CanExcel. Once we ok this mock up Amsted will do the rest of the windows. The second photo shows the prep for the rakes under the overhang. We were going to have the rake ends exposed as part of the arts and crafts look and feel but we decided that we wanted eavestroughs for rainwater collection so we couldn't in the end. Also, this will help prevent an ice slick on the future boardwalk beneath. The final photo shows the copper decorative gable end that is designed to cover the kitchen stove vent situated behind it. We were going to have a wood gable end but with the vent location we decided to cover it up. The house is slowly coming together.
